What is the difference between Omega 3,6,9 or the ProEFA fish oil vs. EPA?

Hello Everyone,

I have been reading the post pretty closely and a question poped out of my head

regarding the EPA capsule. Why is the reason to give your child EPA when you

already uses the ProEFA or the Omega 3,6,9 in my case? Aren't they pretty much

the same thing? Why you want to double the dosage of the " fish oil " intake? I

have read many parents posted the wonderful results of using fish oil and it

seems when they post their recipe it almost all always included the EPA!?!? I

am currently give my daughter one capsule of Complete Omega 3,6,9 from Nordic

Naturals about a month and half now. I didn't notice any dramatic changes in

speaking, but I did notice she is able to talk more of the two words

combinations. Should I increase her dosage of the Omega 3,6,9 to TWO capsules

and give her ONE capsule of the EPA? Is there a ratio issue we need to be aware

of? Here are the ingredients of both the ProEFA/Compete Omega 3,6,9 and EPA

capsules from Nordic Naturals:

EPA: TWO 1000 mg soft gels contains:

EPA: 850 mg DHA: 200mg other Omega-3s: 180mg Vit E.: 30IU

Pro EFA/Complete Omega3,6,9: TWO 1000 mg soft gels contains: EPA: 270 mg

DHA: 180mg other Omega-3s: 115mg GLA: 66mg OA: 160 mg Vit E.: 30IU

Except the EPA contains a lot more of the EPA than Pro EFA, the rest of the

ingredients are pretty close. If we give both the EPA and ProEFA the total

dosage intake for EPA will be 1120mg, DAH 380mg, other omega-3s 295mg and Vit E.

60 IU --- is it too much to take for a 2 and half to 3 year old child? Even if

the dosage is in half will it still be too much to have per day?

I am very confused and hopes anyone can explain to me the reason to take them

both at the same time -- Does the speach improves much better in combination of

the two than just from one?

Thank you,
