Hi All,

This email is to address 3 topics:

1. Update of our group's email list - Please send me a reply email letting

me know if you have any changes or would like to be removed from our list.

2. Discussion Reminder - If anyone is interested there is still room to

attend the upcoming seminar. You are welcome to bring anyone you'd like,

including SLPs and MDs, but the key is to register. Please keep in mind

that there is a cost associated that McDermott's company, Barclays,

has generously volunteered to fully host. This cost is based solely on the

RSVP list regardless of who shows up, so if you can not come PLEASE let me

know before the event. The budget is used for various Barclay family

events, so feel free to register but let's not waste it if you or a guest

can not attend. I pasted the details of the October 22nd seminar at the

bottom of this email.

3. I am forwarding below an email from Kathleen McEnroe that I thought would

be of interest to the group. Go Kathleen - you have our best wishes for a

successful first walk!

I hope you're all enjoying this week's sunshine and have found some comfort

level in your new fall routines. I'm looking forward to meeting you on the

22nd.

Marshall

Subject: Walking for Apraxia and

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, my son, , has Apraxia of Speech. I am

participating in a Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech. This is the

first walk of its kind in Long Island. I am hoping to raise as much money as

I can for CASANA to support their mission. CASANA believes Every Child

Deserves a Voice and so do I.

If you know of anyone that would like to donate, please forward this email

on to them. Donations can be made by clicking onto the blue link at the

bottom of the page that says " Follow This Link " , it will take you right to

my personal page.

Please join me in my fight to make a difference and make people aware of

Apraxia.

Thank you,

Kathleen McEnroe

P.S. Hope you are all doing well and hopefully I will see you all at the

next gathering on October 22 with Dr. .

Here are the details about the Long Island Walk:

Sunday October 18, 2009

10:00 AM Walk Start

Eisenhower Park

Parking Field #5, the " Cherry Area "

1899 Hempstead Turnpike

East Meadow, NY 11554

This will be a family friendly event so we hope you might consider

participating to not just raise funds for apraxia programs and research, but

to raise awareness and especially to show support for our children affected

by apraxia and their families. It is not too late to join in! All donations

that you give or raise are tax-deductible.
