Guest guest
Hello Families Network! The Division of Developmental Disabilities has compiled and released risk indicator reports on all of their contracted providers. They are calling this a " Data Dashboard " which they have made public in order to increase transparency. NJ.com reporter, Livio, wrote an article highlighting the disability community's concerns about the recently-released Data Dashboard, which you can read by going to http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2009/09/nj_provides_evaluation_on_agen.html. While the Data Dashboard is not exactly user friendly, it is extremely encouraging to see DDD collecting data and making data publicly available. Hopefully this Data Dashboard will evolve to become a helpful tool for families to use in making decisions about which agencies to employ to serve their loved one with developmental disabilities. For those who are interested, you can access the Data Dashboard at http://www.state.nj.us/humanservices/staff/opia/risk/reports.html. As always, feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Have a great weekend!!
