Guest guest
Hello! My 2 1/2 year old son with apraxia is starting school in a couple of weeks. I have a meeting set up for this week to talk to the teacher about what she might be able to do to help him/better understand him in the classroom. I plan on explaining his speech patterns to her and showing her the signs that he still uses to help her understand him. I also plan on sending a notebook with him so that she can write in it each day a couple of sentences about what they did that day so that I can talk to him about his day at school without (hopefully) him getting too frustrated b/c I can't understand him (I have gotten fairly good at understanding him IF I know what he's talking about). Any other tips? Anything you think I should talk to her about? Thanks!! -Brittany
