Guest guest
We aren't having as much luck but I think its because our son won't drink milk... So we are putting it many differrent foods. We are continuing and do not plan on stopping... Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® [ ] Anyone not seeing surges with NutriiVeda? We all need to hear from people who are trying it and maybe not getting the results that you hope for. Thanks,
Guest guest
Bonnie thank you so much for answering -I have been asking for this too. What age is your child and diagnosis? How many scoops a day and how many days on? Did your child respond to fish oils? And if so which brand dosage? Milk wouldn't make a difference as we have children in this group who are milk free and surging on the nutriiveda and even Mel has always had it mixed into food http://littlemermaidmelanie.wordpress.com/about- but you do want to make sure if even mixed into food you get enough liquid. Here's a program guide endorsed by the Chopra center https://zriibucket.s3.amazonaws.com/v1/flash/2/docs/NutriiVeda.pdf Most of the reports are surges in a day to 5 days with first results in most cases by 3 days based on feedback. These are the following areas of surges reported- not all but most: SPEECH articulation, complexity and sophistication of sentence structure LANGUAGE better understanding of written and spoken word, development of better reading and writing skills ACADEMICS/LEARNING reported surges in all areas of school FINE AND GROSS MOTOR SKILLS also multi tasking SENSE OF HUMOR both catching subtle humor and wanting to make others laugh-joking around AWARENESS OF SURROUNDINGS (for autism) reported following gaze and moreinteractions FACIAL EXPRESSIONS (for those with oral apraxia) instead of blank stares when not engaged in conversation (non verbal expressions) FOCUS on task, more willing to listen and try MULTI TASKING (for apraxia as this is something typically not done or done well) SOCIAL wanting to participate with others via play and communication MOOD reported seems " happier " for a number DEVELOPMENTAL CATCHING UP for those that never went through stages -reportedly going through them for the first time. DECREASE IN SEIZURES so far in one case elimination of any seizures and headaches and decrease in seizure meds as well I do hope that it works for your child. If not please remember the company sells it with a money back guarantee and I'm so sorry! (this is one time you DON'T want to get your money back!!!) =====
Guest guest
I tried it with my 9 yo dd. Just like everything else we tried, this did nothing for us too. > > We all need to hear from people who are trying it and maybe not getting the results that you hope for. > > Thanks, > > >
Guest guest
My son is 5 1/2 yrs He has ASD. We have been on 1 1/2 scoop for 8 days now.. We have not have had any surges .. Although this am when i told him it as time for school he said " NO " and ran into anoher room:) prior to this he may shake his head His teacher wrote in his notes today (hearing lots of new sounds fron Adam) She does not know of nutriiveda So maybe i am expecting too much and it may take longer to do its magic with kids with Autism .. Guest guest
Hi Caroline! We are hearing reports in days for kids with autism as well. Thing is and you may have missed this that the nutriiveda appears to be dosage dependent. We do not yet know what aspect or aspects are creating all the surges but as you have read they are in numerous areas and sudden. We do know there is research for the whey isolate protein, the amino acids and the turmeric...but there is a synergistic blend of ayurveda that most of us are still learning about that needs to be considered too and will be in research which based on what we are seeing and what I've heard back from the company will happen. Since your child is 5 and a half and he said something out of the norm and his teacher is reporting more sounds that is something. As you know from a month ago -nothing means nothing when all is considered. Just like with the fish oils if you see it working it means it's doing something. If you check the archives I believe Sowmya who's son is also autistic and apraxic (and a few years older) didn't notice anything on one scoop but had dramatic surges on two scoops which is where her son needs to be. Her son and others are why I say that this does appear to be dosage dependent. Also like you the reports about Sowmya's son came from the school professionals who like in your case are not aware that her son is now on the nutriiveda. And because Sowmya herself is more of an academic type (she has her masters in math) she has taken her son off of the nutriiveda and put him back on three times now and has played with the dosage...and like clockwork the reports come in from the school as to how he surges on -regresses off. So as she said she will not be stopping the nutriiveda again. But in your case just like in the case of fish oil since you are seeing something even though it may not be dramatic like we are seeing -it's probably because you need that extra 1/2 scoop to bring him up to the full 2 scoops a day. I know it appears it shouldn't make that much of a difference -but it clearly does. One day we'll know why. There are parents now like me that started with level scoops and now use heaping scoops instead....and I'm sure she'll share...but Robin just raised Mel for therapeutic reasons up in scoops a day -not to cut down on food -but because of how much her body seems to need it. Make sure your child is drinking enough liquid -share with his doctor- and after you raise up to 2 scoops email the group a few days later with an update (which I hope for you and your son is " another " an OMG!!! one Here's the suggested dosage as posted to our apraxia.org page Dosage used so far OK'd by child's doctors (so far all doctors both traditional medical and alternative as well as nutritionist approved by all and most MDs have said " don't know if it will help with speech but can't hurt and should add some good nutrition " ) Birth to three - one scoop a day (can be split into half scoop twice a day) Four to Eight -two scoops a day (can be split into 1 scoop twice a day) Nine and up to adult -can take up to four scoops a day -recommended to split 2 scoops 2x a day. If you need to lose weight you will on this and quickly -if you don't you won't (those that needed to gain weight gained) works with the body. reports from adults using it for weight loss -tons of energy, focus, no more cravings. For adults too appear to support metabolic system- metabolism appears to rejuvenate. (being used by some of our parents, grandparents, and professionals as well) Used 2x a day comes out to around $2.70 for full meal and vitamin replacement. Again does not have to be for weight loss and can be served with food. (won't be able to eat as much food however) http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=115029735601 & topic=13047 =====
Guest guest
As I have written before - has not really seen any surges on the NutriiVeda yet either. She has been on since January 8th, 2 scoops a day. HOWEVER - either I don't give her enough credit or she is making progress whether with Nutriiveda or not.. BUT... Sunday we had a wedding to go to and our 2 year old was a ringbearer, so came as well to the ceremony. My baby girl did so amazing! My child who used to scream adn freak out in a crowd of people, and could not sit still for more than 10 minutes without throwing a fit or wanting to get up. Sat still for over an hour, during a wedding ceremony and not only did she sit there quietly - she was INTERESTED! She was looking to see the bride and groom up on the stage and wanted to know what was going on. She tried to talk (but obviously it just came out as a babble) but was sooooooooooooo good... I was so proud of her! Anyway - wanted to share both the good and the bad! Off to a meeting. Cristal gtzellner@...
Guest guest
Hello Caroline, We started off with a low dose of 1 scoop. Just saw no positive or negative for a week. The second week I it to 2 scoops. He was babbling a lot- I mean non-stop!! Some of my friends on the phone kept asking me if I had visitiors at home!!. The other thing was he was very hyper. I waited for a week for him to settle down...he did not. So I had to stop but he regressed and no more babble. So I reintroduced NV with 1 1/2scoop. He adjusted very well. The first week on 1 1/2 scoops brought inputs on how his fine mototr has im to proved!! After 3 weeks i had increased to 2 scoops and then slowly to 3 scoops now. He is showing steady progress, his oral motor function has improved and we have seen the best imitation of various syllables in all these years. His teacher does not know we have him on NV and they notice he is more receptive, more focused, follow task quickly, and more communicative in class. Hang in there. As a parent I can understand how we all have great expectations...that is what keeps us motivated. sowmya > > My son is 5 1/2 yrs He has ASD. We have been on 1 1/2 scoop for 8 days now..
