Guest guest
My name is and I'm a mother of two! a, my 4 year old was recently diagnosed with apraxia, and , my 2 year old. It's been real tough, but now it's nice having some answers and knowing, in a sense what to look forward too. a has no real words. She has a few sounds, and in the past 6 months, has learned a few letter sounds, but can only say them after really trying. She mostly speaks in " hoo-hoo's " lol. I don't know anyone with apraxia, so I just hoped I could find a place and get support! It would be nice to have other parents to share our struggles and acheivements with! a does attend a special-ed pre-k program, and we are working on getting her in with a speech therapy for additional help. So, anyways, just wanted to say hi! And I'm really hoping to be able to learn a lot from this group!
Guest guest
Hi and welcome. A good place to start finding what we've all done here over the years is look at the old messages. Most here started with Gengs " the late talker " book. And i'd hazard to guess that almost all here have at least tried the omega fish oils, so you'll see alot of messages about EFA's and EPA.   This is a great place to realize that you're not alone, and a great resource to ask questions. If there's anything specific you'd like to know, there are a bunch of great ladies (and some gents!)on this site.
