Guest guest
I see a lot on here about fish oil and that pro stuff. I got some but have yet to use it for . I know you normally are seeing increased speech using it. Do you think it would help him increase tongue movement and other oral issues too? is speaking good already except certain sounds like L and TH. Thanks. Guest guest
MB12 did that for us. The fish oil only helped when acetyl carnitine and E were added but not to the same extent. Her methylation pathways were blocked. I now understand more about why--her ability to absorb it from food or supplements was impaired due to leaky gut issues and malabsorptions were happening at both gut and cellular level. It is so sad that mainstream medicine ignores the role of nutrients on the brain and every body-organ really--but on the brain there is soemtimes almost an immediate effect and without these proper nutrients the brain cannot function--the effects are really known--without B12 there's memory problems, behavioral abnormalities, speech impairment, peripheral neuropathy which implies loss of normal sensation and NO, it doesn't have to be complete loss--the way neurologists test for it and if there's still some it must all be in the patient's head. They only look for classical text book symptoms and anything that doesn't quite meet that criteria is in the patient's head. How convenient.... . There is plenty of research showing that metabolic functioning affects neurological functioning and testing and supplementing--or just doing it based on symptoms, neuroscience research and microbiology research is so advanced and mainstream medicine just knows to dispense drugs and if they don't work they say there's nothing they can do. You'd think neurologists would have a clue... Anyway, her mouth sensitivity completely changed after the MB12 as did her ability to coordinate mouth movements and control her tongue. Her attention and focus, her ability to receive PROMPT and build a verbal communication system all improved from that moment on. If you read about the role of B12 in methyaltion you will understand why it has thsi effect on some kids. Others get a little hyper with it--and actually she did too a bit--was panting almost the first day or so--but it subsided and all the oral mouthing and stuffing all she could find in her mouth also subsided--and speech ---beautiful speech started after that. It was so obvious that even my Dh who was very skeptical and afraid of needles believed in thsi one--and did the shots for her while I was gone. They're easy, just under the skin with a hair thin needle--very small amount. Anyway, the fish oil will also help I'm sure, but I'm just telling you what helped with not just speech and language but attention, focus, behavior and oral sensations it seems. hers sensory issues improved very nicely after that--she now brushes teeth, combs hair on her own--upper face still a little sensitive but compared to before this kid is pretty normal now. This is just the beginning. Your child is a prime candidate to be helped by biomed--diet/supplements--just take it one step at a time and always keep safety in mind---fish oil is pretty safe --most normal people are deficient so you can build gradually. Add a little carnitine if you do not see much at first, possibly some E; for the MB12 you need a prescription---find a biomed trained doctor and you'll get it. I still say that's your biggest bet--and again--if not needed it is not in any way dangerous to the body--it just gets eliminated---you'll see if it helps or not but it MUST be done just under the skin at an angle--not intramuscular or it will wear off--and get peed out before it can have that continuous effect on the brain--as it gets gradually released from the fat tissue into the blood stream. Good luck. Elena From: pepperderr <pepperderr2@...> Subject: [ ] Fish oil question Date: Sunday, February 14, 2010, 3:11 PM I see a lot on here about fish oil and that pro stuff.
