wow, how lucky for your grandson that your're so involved.  How i wish my mom

were able to be involved but sadly she suffers from alzheimers and misses most

of what goes on with her grandson.

Most here use the Nordic naturals complete 3-6-9,  2 capsules as well as

                          Nordic naturals EPA 1

capsule.

one hint from a clumsy mom,  i use a push pin to pierce the capsules and

squeeze them onto a spoon.

Subject: [ ] Higher EPA or DHA

Can someone please clarify for me the doseages of ProEPA & ProEFA you are giving

to a 3 1/2year old who weighs 38lbs. My confusions comes into play because this

group recommends more EPA than DHA however most of the DAN doctors like Dr.

McCandless (author of Starving Brains) recommend more DHA than EPA for our kids

with Autism and Apraxia. Below is an email send by Dr. McCandless regarding her

recommendation:

> > Nordic Naturals Omega is higher in EPA than DHA. For our kids

with autism, we typically want the reverse. High DHA and lower EPA. The

reason for this: EPA is for cardio health (great for adults with heart

problems) but DHA crosses the blood-brain- barrier and is great for

brain health.

Thanks again to a confused grandmother hoping to make a difference for our

little angel.

Thanks so much Sandy. Tomorrow we will begin giving him 1 capsule of the ProEPA

and 2 capsules of the ProEFA. I promise to keep you informed of the progress

and hope and pray it works for us as well as for the many here on this group.

Can you tell me if you give the total of the 3 capsules all at once or do you

split up the dosing during the day.
