Guest guest
Diane I believe a few people did answer this and some did stop just about everything -some only stopped the vitamins. I recommend stopping everything except the fish oils and whatever may be medically necessary such as if your child is on prescription carnitine due to testing low in this essential amino acid. The reason for this is because nutiiveda is synergisticly formulated by leading medical and ayurvedic doctors including Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Simon to contain all the nutrients one needs...there is a huge amount of science and medicine -recent and ancient -behind the formulation. The good news is that we are seeing surges in a day to a few days in this group just about across the board- so you would know soon enough! We learned the hard way in this group that more is not always better when it comes to mega dosages of vitamins, so please be careful with that if you decide not to stop them- but probably the best person to check with would be the doctor who is recommending that your child takes all the supplements he is taking. Hope others answer more. But I'll leave you with these thoughts from Dr. Chopra http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4GtimvTX6Q Part 1 (11 min. but worth listening to) Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKF3lMB3umk & feature=channel (if you listen to part 1 -I won't even have to tell you why it's worth listening to part 2 -about same amount of time...Gretchen I did ask about him being interviewed for us -will get back to you!!) =====
Guest guest
Thanks, ! I really appreciate the reply. I will check with his doctor, just because I feel full disclosure about everything we're doing is important - and because she needs to know about this important new product - but we've pretty much already decided to pull him off of everything except his fish oils, vitamin D (tests show he is low), and probably his digestive enzymes (he was diagnosed with multiple protein intolerance as a newborn - a couple of generations of that in my family - so we have to be careful). I hear you about the supplements! We've rejected a few of them she has suggested as just too iffy. I admit that I'm an overly cautious, show-me-the-science kind of mom! I'm off to check out the videos you suggested. Again, thanks! Dianne > > Diane I believe a few people did answer this and some did stop just about everything -some only stopped the vitamins. Guest guest
Hello Diane, The best person to guide you is your DAN. Before you go to see him, have all the nutrional information of nutriiveda plus the supplements you are giving him handy. Some Moms did say that their DAN did approve for their kids because NV did not interfere with other supplements. As for my son.... I had stopped everything even fish oils for the first 2 weeks. I reintroduced everything after the 2nd week especially GABA,cognitex,Inositol, EFA's, EPAs,calcium...but have stopped enzymes, probiotics, vit D, magnesium, glutamine and few others. We still see good focus, fine motor improvement, accdurate speech production on NV. But check with the DAN before you do anything. sowmya > > Hello! > > We've been using NN fish oils for our 5 yr old son for a couple of years now and saw surges both at the beginning and when we increased his dosage. Now, we're seeing a DAN! doctor and he's been on a GFCFSF diet for a few months (more progress!) and on several supplements - a high-dosage multivitamin, plus L-Theanine, CoQ10, digestive enzymes, and extra calcium, magnesium, and vit D. We're trying to improve a weak immune system, and he has been diagnosed with apraxia (severe verbal and mild everywhere else), sensory integration disorder (again, mild), and possible Central Auditory Processing Disorder. Some say PDD-NOS, some don't. > > At any rate, we've just ordered some Nutriiveda and have questions - first of all, are the parents whose kids have been doing DAN! protocol taking their kids off of supplements when starting Nutriiveda? And if so, are they seeing improvements that they didn't see with the DAN! supplements? > > Thanks! > Dianne >
Guest guest
Thanks, Sowmya! I just received the Nutriiveda this afternoon, so we're starting tomorrow! I'm emailing our DAN doc this afternoon. I hope she'll not only be supportive, but as excited as we are. Until I hear otherwise from her, I'm continuing the NN fish oils, vitamin D (since he tested low), probiotics (he just finished 3 courses of antibiotics) and cal-mag. I'll report in soon!
