Is this more or less repeated everyday, or is it from a larger list of 'favorites' that are rotated throughout the week?

There is no official `list` so to speak. A person just tries to make sure they eat a wide variety of things to keep healthy. The idea is that if you don`t eat that many you may not be getting enough nutrition. They could be different things everyday..

Ditto with the herbs that are commonly used.

I`ll try to find out about herbs when my mother in law returns from here trip to Switzerland.

I think the whole way of life sounds ideal and that perhaps the communtiy support, contentment, and feeling useful are strong incentives to stay alive as well as the diet.I notice a growing tendency in the medical community for doctors to give inferior treatment to the aged, even mumbling (here in overcrowded Holland) "Ach, they've lived a long life already...." It is horrifying to say the least. Will it end up that only the celebs, the rich and the politicians are cheered on to the end with the very best care? Or can we change this in our lifetime?I guess one way is to reduce sickness and disease with CR!

In Japan, even if a person is dying, the doctors don`t tell the person. One one hand there is a horrible lack of communication between doctor and patient here.. For instance people will be told to take medicine and they don`t know what it`s for - or even what condition they may have - and they are trained not to ask (authority isn`t questioned here like in America)..

On the other hand I guess if you don`t know that you will probably die soon and that the condition is serious.. maybe that helps people live longer? I don`t know..

best for nowMM
