Hi Sow,

Very well put. I am taking Nutriiveda for the past 3 days, I felt so light. Here

is the beauty, I had piled work around the house which I was not able to finish

for the past 6 months, guess what I finished them all yesterday... in just one

day. I was very focused, energy throughout the day. I use to take rodhiola and

siberian gingsing as my cortisol level were low due to stress, nothing had me up

and going for the whole day. Now I am having productive energy all day!!

I heard good things from my friend who tried NV to her son. I will update from

her and I will be starting NV for my son from tonight or tomorrow morning, as we

got caught with another allergy issue and I was waiting for it to clear

completely.

warm regards,

Supraja

Nutriiveda has changed .  Now when does not want to do something

that I would like her to do she will tell me no.  When is telling me no

she will say it at least 5 times to make sure I am hearing her.  has

never said no before to me prior to the Nutriiveda.  I am enjoying the change

in .  This change shows me she is able to think about herself.  I asked

her to do a non assigned therapy assignment yesterday  and she refused.  She

now will only do the therapy assignments that Martha assigns her.  Mel is now

working 12 hours a day on her therapy assignments.  We spend about 20 minutes

each hour on her assignments.  I actually forgot a step yesterday for one of

her assignments and Mel began to do it on her own and gave me a look like she

could not believe I forgot that.

Hyperactivity with initial intake of Nutriiveda:

My son went through the phase of hyperactivity too when I upped it by 2

scoops. At first I was ok with it because I saw the same kind of

reaction when I upped the fish oils. For me I was happy because it was

some kind of reaction that he is undergoing when a new component has

been introduced….. But there is always a yardstick to measure. His

hyperactivity did not stop after 2 weeks on it. So I stopped the

nutriiveda for 3 days but his speech regressed too

-so I reintroduced it with 1 1/2 scoops which

surprisingly his body adjusted VERY WELL. And I have been gradually

increasing his dosage , presently he is on 3 scoops/day[7yrs old, 50

lbs]. Also while I noted his behavior as hyper his teacher was reporting he was

more focused at school. It appears to me now that it is not so much hyper as

suddenly more aware of everything.

Why do we categorize a behavior as hyperactivity – is it because we

got so used to them being involved in the " same manner " or is it

because we don't expect them to explore??? Often times I had wished

he would request for a balloon or a toy and when I say no he would

throw a tantrum like any 7 year old. But most of the time he just keeps

quiet. Its very odd that how we tend to mold them to our perspective

rather than them discovering things on their own. I wish there was a

different term that we could use to coin in with

" hyperactivity- discovering- awarness " .

Anyway, I felt we need to find what's going on as most of us are

seeing the above behavior in our kids.

The one thing that popped-up while doing an extensive reading on

different botanicals in nutriiveda was the botanical Haritaki –

Terminalia chebula.

Haritaki is often referred to as the " king of all medicines " in

the Ayurvedic medical materials. Ayurvedic healer believes that this

destroys all diseases, eliminates all waste from the body and promotes

tissue growth and heath.

What came as a surprise to me is it is considered to balance mind, body

and spirit, to help with mental clarity and the five senses and aids in

digestion

Many of us saw awareness, motor function and above all " finding

their tongue " !!! Like as if somebody sent them 110volts jolt through

their body!!!

It is also a gentle laxative and a detoxifier hence it is used to remove

undigested food and accumulated impurities from the digestive tract.

Some of the Bowel movements my son had did not even reflect on his

intake it was like using Liquid Plumr to clear the clogs!!!! [sorry even

though its grouse….I wanted to mention it]

It also nourishes the tissues of the colon, lungs, liver. In India, it

is believed that Haritaki helps in increasing intelligence, awareness

and overall energy levels. this explains the increased energy levels in

the kida as well as the adults taking it.

It has highly potent anti-microbial properties

It is also an anti-oxidant which reduces the oxidative stress.

So I feel that Haritaki in combination with the other richly potent

botanicals is bringing about awareness which is making them explore

things and act in an exploring manner which is not appropriate for their

age because they have never done it in all their lives!!!
