Mine also had diarrhea but I thought perhaps it was because she had also gotten

the stomach flu. Another mom mentioned it could be yeast die off and this could

be it too. If it is, it should stop soon.

My son is only 2 1/2, so I only give him 1 tablespoon in morning and 1

tablespoon at night. He is having " mashy " poops (not diarhea), but he was more

constipated before, so it is a welcome effect. Maybe the 2 scopes are too much

for him. Was he OK with 1 scope and now the 2 he got the diarhea? If so, maybe

your son's " dose " is somewhere inbetween. I saw some sleep issues the first

week on NW (he got up at least 1x a night and then got up at 5 in the morning),

but it seems to have leveled off (we are on the 2nd week).

Does anyone know the correct dose for children under 4?

So this is the end of the second week for my son taking NV and we have seen some

major, major changes. He is more involved, more aware of things and improving

with speech. Just a few minutes ago, he pushed his sister because she was

getting one of his toys. I put him on time out and after he was there for while,

I talked to him and asked him if he knew what he had done. His answer: " Nichael

pushed baby " . About three weeks ago he STARTED putting TWO words together.

Although I think that part of it was from hours of speech therapy trying to get

him to build sentences, I believe that NV has helped tremendously...he is know

saying two words sentences 80% of the time and even three words sentences..which

is AMAZING.

Now, as I posted before...he still has diarrhea and I don't know what to do. It

is pretty bad. The other day we even got called to his day care because it was

all over and he needed to take a bath prior to going to preschool that day. It

was that bad. I've been reading a lot and I have lower his dosage to 1 to 1 1/2

scoops but I'm reading here so much about the regressions even with lowering the

dosage...and even with the lower dosage, the diarrhea continues.

I don't know if I should just stop at this point. Maybe the vanilla would be

better...although I don't think is the chocolate and more the shake itself! I

would hate to stop NV and see regressions.

Any suggestions??? Thank you!

If your son has loose stools that go on for over a week or at any point they are

not what would be considered just a mushy stool or mild loose -I'd stop the

nutriiveda. Loose stools are one of the possible mild side effects when first

adding whey isolate protein to the diet from what I read. Don't worry about the

regression -once back on he'll get the surge back again. Just one question

-does your child have a but right now or is the runs for sure from the

nutriiveda? If not a bug- run past your child's ped but I'd suggest stopping

the nutriiveda and making sure he stays well hydrated - once the loose stools

are resolved-then -reintroduce the nutriiveda but just start with a 1/4 of the

dosage (the company suggests half -I say half of a half for kids) and gradually

work up.

The following we pulled off the company website -so keep in mind that it's

written more for the metabolic weight loss aspect as that's why it was

developed. Clearly to me in addition to there being some mild side effects from

the release of stored waste products into circulation during weight loss that

could happen during detox too.

" Are there any possible side effects? Possible side effects may occur from the

release of stored waste products into circulation during weight loss. These may

include but are not limited to constipation, bloating/gas, thirst/dry mouth,

irritability, loose stools, skin reactions, achy joints, headaches,

lightheadedness, or nausea. If symptoms appear, decrease daily dose by 50

percent and drink more pure water. Symptoms should diminish significantly. Mild

and uncomfortable symptoms should alleviate after 3 " 7 days. If any severe

symptoms occur, discontinue taking the product and consult your medical

professional.

http://pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html#sideeffects

And the good news is that you already know he's going to continue to surge once

you get him back on again!!

" Nichael pushed baby " What a big boy admitting what he did wrong!

OMG how did you keep a straight face??? What a sweetie pie!!!

(I used to just make typically both kids say sorry and give each other a hug

-any disagreements typically were a two way street and we were fortunate because

we have very little fighting going on in our home between our boys -even still)
