Guest guest
I also highly recommend the hand mixer. I use the Kitchenaid one (we call it a boat motor) and use vanilla almond milk. One word of warning. only mix it til it's smooth. If you over mix it starts to get really thick and gloppy like it's going to turn into butter. I have also found that my boys won't drink it at all with cow's milk now, only vanilla almond milk. I tasted it (and I don't care for milk much) and it tasted like melted chocolate ice cream. It is not a traditional hand mixer, but the kind that is one straight stick and you can attach a mixer at the end so you can fit it in a cup. It works very well for mixing Nutriiveda. The first two shipments of NV that we received were very easy to mix and I wondered why people were mentioning the difficulties they were having with mixing. However, we have had lots of problems with the latest shipment being grainier and not mixing. We have tried mixing it in water and just about every type of milk (almond, rice, cow, goat, etc.) We haven't been able to get it in our son and he is trying to refuse to drink if it looks like it has NV in it. This was not a problem with the first two shipments. I was about to give up on NV altogether because of the problems we were having, but one of the symptoms that we have noticed a vast improvement in (drooling) has really increased in the past month as we haven't been able to get the NV in him due to the consistency problems. I think the hand mixer will be a good solution and I just wanted to share with anyone else who might be struggling to mix it.
Guest guest
That's great that you found something that worked. I also wanted to add that we just got a Cuisinart power blender and it is small so it doesn't take up the entire counter, but blends the NV beautifully, and crushes ice. It has a small container which is nice since we blend drinks for 4 people, and cleanup is a snap. I got it with a rebate and a coupon, so it cost less than $40. I'm really happy with it. http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-CPB-300-SmartPower-15-Piece-Portable/dp/B003YLEX\ BO/ref=sr_1_9?s=home-garden & ie=UTF8 & qid=1291236594 & sr=1-9 From: tojumiel Sent: Wednesday, December 01, 2010 12:35 PM Subject: [ ] Hand mixer for Nutriiveda I think this has been mentioned before, but we just purchased a small hand blender to mix the Nutriiveda in liquid. Guest guest
I also found a " handmixer " - non-motorized, ergonomically correct, just press a lever with your thumb and it blends the NV into whatever liquid you are using - I think I got it at Wal-Mart in the section that has rubbermaid-type products.
