- The next ASPEN Bergen chapter meeting will be held on Wednesday, *February

17th at 7:00 pm* at the CAPE Center, 327 East Ridgewood Ave, Suite 212,

Paramus, NJ. Please join the ASPEN leadership for an evening of parent

support sharing, along with information on summer camp programs.

- The ASPEN Annual Spring Conference will be held on *Sunday, March 21*st

from 8:00-4:30 at the Hilton Woodbridge - " Preparation for the Real World:

College, Relationships and Employment " - keynote speaker is Simon

Baron-Cohen, PhD, Director of the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge, UK.

- *On Tuesday, February 16th* Autism New Jersey's Parents of Adults

Support Group will host Greg Makely, NJWINS Project Director. Mr. Makely

will present information on Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)

benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Please join at the

Montclair

Kimberley Academy, 201 Valley Rd., Montclair, NJ from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.

- Transition Fair at FDU, Metropolitan Campus, Hackensack, *Thursday,

April 15, 6**-9pm*, Rothman Center, Fairleigh Dickinson University,

Metrpolitan Campus, Temple Ave, Off Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack - NJ

State and County Agencies including DDD, DVR, Bergen County Office of

Disability Services, Bergen County Workforce Center, etc.; Support

Agencies such as: AccessLink, hip, guardianships, wills, trusts; agencies

that provide day programs and Parent Worshops on various topics.

Information on a wide variety of post secondary options will be available

to help students with all levels of disabilities prepare for their

- Local Bergen County *Summer Camp* programs:

- Camp Soar - " A therapeutic social skills program in a summer

day camp-like

environment for children and teens with Asperger's Syndrome and
