However, I am looking to make my home safer for my children. What cleaning products are safe for my kids? I see all these things about " green " products and I'm not really looking to save the world....just my kids. I know that is sad and it really makes me feel bad even saying it but it is true. Please any advice would really help! Krista
Guest guest
If you go into just about any store now you can find the " green " products. Even Target carries for example some of the Seventh Generation line http://www.seventhgeneration.com You can also find Mrs. Myers at many regular stores -haven't checked but even Walmart may carry it? I know Target carries this as well- buy one of these and even cleaning the toilet bowl will as they say make this " nasty job more bearable " I right now have the geranium but don't stick to one scent. http://www.mrsmeyers.com They do smell incredible. My favorite cleaner for floors is Seaside Naturals all purpose cleaner because it smells incredible and it contains essential oils of lavender, eucalyptus and tea tree oil and not kidding cleans grout way better than any bleach. http://seasidenaturalsonline.com There are sites that can teach you how to make cleaning products that are non toxic like http://www.eartheasy.com/live_nontoxic_solutions.htm http://www.frugalfun.com/cleansers.htmlif you want to be the Martha Stuart of green (I like the ready made green) There are a number of green people to follow on Twitter who are always sharing tips too. The other thing you can do is go to a store like Whole Foods and talk to the people that work there about some of their favorite products -at stores like this you won't have to search for the green -they'll all be! =====
