Today I was going through my same ritual of holding Isaac while I tried to get

him to drink his NV. I noticed he was dosing off and I'd nudge him to keep him

awake so he could hurry and finish. Well, he ended up going to sleep anyway and

I gave up the hope that he'd finish any time soon and hunkered down for the long

haul. When all of a sudden I look down and he's drinking it in his sleep!

Occasionally I would wiggle it a little bit to get him started up again, but, he

totally finished it with no drama! So, I guess I'll just try to use that

strategy from now on. I'll get his cup ready about the time I think he's going

to go to sleep. :-)

So, any of you who are struggling to get it in them while they're awake, try it

when they are not!!! Whatever works!!!

He is still doing amazingly. I can confidently say that he is now putting two

word sentences together. He is learning the alphabet and their sounds. He knows

a good deal of them now but, in nursery today in church, I went through some

others that he didn't know so well. I can tell he wants to learn and is trying

so hard. I am one proud parent!

Sincerely,

Romesa

I still haven't figured out how to reliably get NV into my boy. He has refused

the NV yogurt, other than maybe 1/4 scoop in half a yogurt, for the past two

days. He's not eating well at all, actually. I force the fish oil (less

successfully the past two days as well), but I can't really figure out how to

force the NV. It's wonderful when he eats it willingly. I'll keep trying.

Whatever he refuses I bribe my 6-year-old into eating, or eat it myself. No

reason to waste the good stuff!

Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Start slowly with maybe 1/4 scoop in something but doctor the rest so it tastes

better. For ex, if in a shake, add ice cream or Nestle's choc syrup to make

yummier. Or add peanut butter. Add the 1/4 scoop into a whole yogurt so there is

barely a taste difference. Try the no bake cookies. Etc. Sprinkle a little on

his food all day until u get to a scoop.

Just keep trying!
