Guest guest
Hello-I am new to the group. My son is 2 1/2 and was just diagnosed this week with Apraxia/PDD. He has been in help me grow/Speech Therapy since he was 18 months. There is a family history of Autism and apraxia. He is completely non-verbal. We just started him on the fish oil (the lemon-lime squeeze packets since he won't take it in the chewable form) and he has definately been more vocal since starting-even shaking his head yes and no (he does communicate with us using his own sign language and pointing). I have been reading through the posts about the Nutriiveda. I did an internet seach on it and it says it is a weight loss shake-is this the same thing that you all are talking about? Does anyone know why it is supposed to work? he is a horrible eater but loves milk so there should be no problem getting him to drink something in milk. Any other things we should try for a newbie to this diagnosis? My 1st son has Aspergers and got alot of help thourgh the Asperger chat room. I am hoping that this room is also very helpful.
