Guest guest
Probably by the time your NV arrives, your son will be back to his normal appetite. If not, wait a few days. As for the supplements, look at the NV ingredients at http://pursuitofresearch.org/ingredients.html and see if there is any overlap. If there is, consult with your son's ped/doc for guidance on how much to reduce those overlapping supplements. Most of my clients are just on NV and fish oils doing great. Keep us posted! After reading all the posts, I ordered and just received our Nutriiveda. I have a couple concerns though and wondering if i should wait to start. My 4 year old is just getting over a stomach flu and although starting to feel better is not quite back to himself and still does not have much of an appetite. Secondly, I read some posts about yeast. I suspect my son does have yeast issues as he continues to have loose, renchy stools and acts goofy, almost drunk at times..should I try to get that under control before starting? Thirdly, I've currently got him on the GFCF diet and a handful of supplements which I feel have benefited him in different areas and wondering if I should remove them all..He's currently on SuperNu Thera Multivitamin,DMG,Culturelle Probiotic,Houston Digestive Enzymes,Pro-Efa and Zinc. I know the Pro-Efa is fine with the Nutriiveda but what about the other supplements..should I remove them completely? Your input is appreciated! Guest guest
My understanding of NV is that it contains all the vitamins that you would need as it is technically a " meal replacement " so you should likely not be giving your son the multivitamin with it. Also, not sure if you need to keep giving zinc with the NV - check the NV label for how much zinc it has (calibrated for your son's dosage). I have continued to give my son his usual probiotic b/c we have gut/yeast issues going on and we continued the fish oils on NV - neither seems to have been a problem. Not sure about your other supplements... I am sure someone else will comment on those. NV does have antifungal properties and I do think my son had some " die off " from the NV as we had some unusual behaviours this week with several constipated poops (die off of toxins can accumulate in the stool and make it hard to pass) so it may help. We have quite a lot of yeast going on at the moment and will have to address that more directly to get it under control... I don't think NV alone will eliminate my son's yeast... you can always try the NV and see what happens in that department... Hope this helps... Guest guest
Hope I can answer your questions quickly -of course run all by your child's doc..and I now officially warn all of you that be prepared for your child's doc to say " can I get some of this for me? " when you give them the nutriiveda canister to check out. About the stomach flu -the product is one of the most easily digestible by the body. When a friend of mine and I were working on the Telemundo show for nutriiveda in Miami we were exposed to the flu -I didn't get it but she did. And she told me the only thing she managed to keep down was the nutriiveda -and she's a doctor herself. And here's a message from the doctors behind it that covers about digestion in it: 1) is Nutriiveda hard on the kidneys or liver. I am just wondering as she is on a seizure med and so I want to make sure there is no overload. First answer from the scientific board " The product shouldn't be hard on the kidney or liver, Amalaki has actually been know to help protect liver function. Many of the botanicals have been shown to help improve and enhance digestion. We have received many testimonials regarding improvement in many different digestive conditions with the Zrii NutriiVeda. Also, we are currently not aware of any medications the interact negatively with NutriiVeda, although, we always suggest individuals speak with their doctors before using NutriiVeda if they have pre-existing conditions. " Yeast question also came up before: As well, can Nutriiveda cause yeast symptoms and or can it help heal the gut? We answered this the other day but here it is again: the chromium, molybdenum, iodine, selenium, and manganese yeast are all inactive and as I was told could be taken even by someone who has a candida problem. They are there as a natural way to get the nutrients chromium, molybdenum, iodine, selenium, and manganese. As far as healing the gut I'd say we are all getting the best possible all around signs of improvements we've ever seen -regular bowels included. Only research will validate if it's healing the gut, the brain, and/or exactly why it's working. And as far as SuperNu Thera Multivitamin,DMG,Culturelle Probiotic,Houston Digestive Enzymes,Pro-Efa and Zinc. The ingredients for Nutriiveda are here: http://pursuitofresearch.org/ingredients.html Check the nutritional panel on the bottom for vanilla and or chocolate and compare it to what you are using -or check with your child's doc/nutritionist etc. I'd be shocked if any doctor or nutritionist said to continue the vitamins or zinc you are using as that's already in the product! Being that the product is full meal and vitamin replacement you want to be aware that you will be duplicating at least some of the nutrients and in some cases maybe all -and since nutriiveda is so easily digestible I've been hearing parents are stopping digestive enzymes as well. Nutriiveda has a synergistic blend of protein and essential amino acids together with ayurvedic medicine that is nutrient dense and formulated and endorsed by Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Simon who are well known medical doctors in traditional and ayurvedic medicine- together with a team of other doctors. What makes it unique is that while everyone in this group has done XYZ for years -there has never before been any nutritional addition that has worked for just about 100 percent in such a profound way. Fish oils are up there and work for almost all -but so far nutriiveda appears to work even for those the oils have not worked for and that makes it even more remarkable. And...we don't know if some things we are using may compromise what's working in this product because quite honestly we won't know what it is that is making it " work " until there is research. The nutriiveda and fish oils appear to compliment each other in the most beautiful way... the probiotics should be fine (my son regresses on most for some reason -don't know why) Our goal is our child's success- if we can get that in an easier way why not?! Isn't it awesome to finally get a break?! =====
Guest guest
Tatyana we don't know why but it's so totally important to make sure that one is well hydrated especially the first week to help the body rid of the toxins. I've read to multiply body weight times .6 to estimate the around of ounces of liquids. It doesn't have to be all water as liquid includes all liquids and even can be found in foods -even bread! Here's some info on the constipation aspect: Are there any possible side effects? Possible side effects may occur from the release of stored waste products into circulation during weight loss. These may include but are not limited to constipation, bloating/gas, thirst/dry mouth, irritability, loose stools, skin reactions, achy joints, headaches, lightheadedness, or nausea. If symptoms appear, decrease daily dose by 50 percent and drink more pure water. Symptoms should diminish significantly. Mild and uncomfortable symptoms should alleviate after 3†" 7 days. If any severe symptoms occur, discontinue taking the product and consult your medical professional. http://pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html Good news update is once you get past the first week or so of getting rid of the toxins -the product makes people have the most " regular " poops of their lives from what is being reported...and that's all ages. =====
Guest guest
Hello! You've probably already gotten all of your questions answered, but since we've been doing DAN protocol for several months, I thought I'd give my two cents worth, too! We made our decisions supplement by supplement, because we had actually had blood tests done and knew our son was low on some things, like zinc and vitamin D, so we kept giving those. He'd also just finished 3 back-to-back courses of antibiotics and was on Diflucan for yeast, so we continued that until finished, and his probiotic. And he was diagnosed with multiple protein intolerance as a newborn, so we still use digestive enzymes and eat GFCFSF. But regarding multivitamins (we were giving Vitaspectrum) and a few other supplements (like L-Theanine), we decided that the vitamins in NV might just be more bioavailable and so he might not need the higher doses anymore, so we took that chance. We have an appt scheduled with our son's DAN doctor in a couple of weeks and we plan to discuss all of this with her - NV in hand! We'll be discussing the possibility of weaning him off of the other supplements and then retesting. I know it's a leap of faith to consider discontinuing anything after you've done so much research on every single supplement, but I have to say that we've never seen improvements like this with anything else we've ever tried - not since starting fish oils 3+ years ago. Our son usually stays sick - so much so that he misses literally every other week of preschool - and he's not been sick since starting NV. even though his NT little sister has. And the improvements in all areas keep coming, and everyone in our extended family and friends has commented on it, so he's obviously getting something from NV that he couldn't get from the other supplements. Let us know what you decide! This is very exciting! Dianne > > Hi everyone. After reading all the posts, I ordered and just received our Nutriiveda.
