I try to remind myself to see each meal as a lesson, on many levels. Adventure is a good description of an exciting lesson. I tried guar and found it to have an unpleasant taste. I know that many users add various flavorings, however, that did not satisfactorilly address the taste issue. I told my wife, a clinical nutritionist and psychotherapist by profession ( and a world class " healthy cuisine " cook as well,) and she told me about Agar Agar a/k/a Kanten. I had a much, much better experience with Agar Agar in many ways than I did with Guar. For those of you who are interested in pursuing your own adventure with Agar Agar, a very quick Google search led me to www.Bulkfoods.com Click on the nutritional supplements selection and follow until you get to Agar Agar. I have never used Bulkfoods.com, have no affiliation with them and this is not an endorsement ( nor a discouragement to utilize,) bulkfoods.com. They just happened to be a source for info on this item that I came up with quickly. I would love to read your thoughts on this substance and the details of your unfolding adventures. Best, Eddie
