Guest guest
I hope not. He says that's his readership (women of that age). He sounds like he 'll present it fairly - if so it would be a " first " . In extensive off list " talks " he sounds ready to be non-biased. on 7/1/2002 1:38 PM, J6215@... at J6215@... wrote: > Cronies: > > Let's see... the NYT reporter wants to speak only to cronies who are women > between the ages of 18 and 43. > > Since it's highly unlikely he's found plenty of women over 43 and men of all > ages without also finding women in their 20s and 30s, I'll bet he's planning > an article that includes (without limitation, as the lawyers say) something > like this: " women who want to stay young, and who diet to extremes to do it, > and how that reflects our society's obsessions with youth and fat and > objectifying women into self-destructiveness, etc., etc. " I'll lay odds > that's where he's headed. > > >
Guest guest
It's so hard to judge the media reporters. I once had a phone interview with one about homeschooling my boys. He was particularly interested in hearing about my oldest who went to school for the first time in 8th grade. I laughingly explained "Oh yes I had to expel him from homeschooling because he was acting out and not doing his work" and sure enough there it was in the article, only printed up as a very serious quote. My son was very upset with me (as I was with myself ) for letting that "quote" slip out. In a message dated 7/1/2002 10:42:47 AM Pacific Daylight Time, fskelton@... writes: I hope not.
