Nutriiveda is thoroughly checked for lead, mercury and all heavy metals as well

as pesticides etc. -each ingredient and the end product and is free of all of

them. It's a prescription quality grade product that would probably be able to

'be' a prescription if they wanted that!

From our PursuitOfResearch.org website

Is the product tested for heavy metals and pesticides? Yes, both individual

ingredients and the finished product are tested and found to be heavy metal,

herbicide, and pesticide -free.

When I read the article your husband found - it sounds to the religious powders

were the main concern (and nutriiveda has nothing to do with that!):

Quote from that article:

" But of greater concern to researchers are religious powders like cherry-colored

" sindoor " -- which is applied cosmetically on the skin and which Tilak also uses

routinely in her home.

Some of these ritual powders comprise 47 to 64 percent lead, according to the

study, and can be particularly dangerous when applied on young children. "

This is similar to the recent finding of PCB in some brands of fish oils,

salmonella found in some brands of spinach or peanut butter, E. coli found in

some meats. It doesn't mean you stop eating it means you become an educated

consumer (did you read the message I sent out with the link to watch the award

winning documentary Food Inc?

As always I'd just check it out instead with a doctor or nutritionist who is

knowledgeable about what a high quality product is -hope that helps!

Here are some GOOD articles also in recent news about the importance of eating

curry -lots of it:

" UCLA scientists and colleagues from UC Riverside and the Human BioMolecular

Research Institute have found that a form of vitamin D, together with a chemical

found in turmeric spice called curcumin, may help stimulate the immune system to

clear the brain of amyloid beta, which forms the plaques considered the hallmark

of Alzheimer's disease.

The early research findings, which appear in the July issue of the Journal of

Alzheimer's Disease, may lead to new approaches in preventing and treating

Alzheimer's by utilizing the property of vitamin D3 - a form of vitamin D - both

alone and together with natural or synthetic curcumin to boost the immune system

in protecting the brain against amyloid beta.

Vitamin D3 is an essential nutrient for bone and immune system health; its main

source is sunshine, and it is synthesized through the skin. Deficiencies may

occur during winter months or in those who spend a lot of time indoors, such as

Alzheimer's patients. "

(PS yes there is vitamin D3 in the nutriiveda...interesting huh?!!)

But because I wrote so much just to recap -each and every ingredient in

nutriiveda is tested as well as the final product to be free of all heavy

metals, herbicides, and pesticides -again a gluten, casein, fat, sodium,

caffeine free product that is 100 percent natural and formulated and endorsed by

leading medical doctors including Dr. Deepak Chopra and Dr. Simon.

Hope that helps!
