TAKE A STAND AGAINST BULLYING

IMAGINE these things happening in your workplace, schools and throughout

your community-

.....being harassed and humiliated day in and day out.

....missing school or work because you are scared to go.

.... sitting quietly, eating your lunch, and being swiped clean off your

chair. Just imagine that as your head hits the floor, you go in and out of

consciousness, as you feel blow after blow, to your head and face.

....feeling like there is no way out, no way to stop the harassment, verbal

and physical abuse. That there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Hard to imagine, isn't it? Yet this happens every day to children, teens

and adults. This is a reality in our communities; people are bullied to the

extent that they cannot handle it anymore.

And why? Because of perceived differences related to culture, sex,

sexuality, physical, mental ability or disability, religion, body size and

physical appearance, age, cultural or economic background or being new to a

school, work place, to a country, to a social group, or being new to a

sports team. The list goes on and on.

and learning in communities where they are appreciated, respected and loved.

Imagine that each is valued for their uniqueness and encouraged to fulfil

their dreams knowing that Who They Are Makes A Difference.

We invite you to take a stand against bullying. Please take a moment from

your day to show someone what it feels like to make a difference in another

person's life by gifting them a " Who I Am Makes A Difference " T Blue Ribbon

on Make A Difference Day - October 23rd, 2010.
