Guest guest
I had hoped getting the Tag Jr would help my little boy but he shows no interest in it whatsoever. He is now 3 and got it when he was 2 1/2. Maybe he'll like it more when he gets older though. Just a tip....if you collect Pampers codes from diapers/wipes that is how I got my Tag Jr for free.  From: evan060506 <evan060506@...> Subject: [ ] Leapfrog Tag Jr. Date: Monday, December 13, 2010, 11:51 PM  My 4 yr old son has severe global apraxia. Guest guest
We do not have the tag, but my son recently received the vtech ereader for his 4th birthday and he loves it. He has moderate-severe verbal apraxia and sensory processing disorder. It is very difficult for me to get him to sit still so I can read to him. This was not only frustrating for me but would make me so sad! He will sit and listen to the ereader read him a book for 30 minutes! This is big for him. It also has vocabulary games...many many different things and as your child learns to read you can shut the reading function off and they can read for themselves. His favorite one so far is toy story. He is beginning to read with the book he has listened to it so many times! As you can tell I LOVE this thing. So nice to know he has something educational that he is interested in! > > I got one for my boys (2 ½ and 3 ½) for Christmas and will let you knw. > > > > From: > [mailto: ] On Behalf Of evan060506 > Sent: Monday, December 13, 2010 5:52 PM > > Subject: [ ] Leapfrog Tag Jr. > > > > > > My 4 yr old son has severe global apraxia. Guest guest
We bought our daughter the leapster and she actually learned to pronounce the letter sounds with the letter factory game. She won't sit still to read with me or to work with me but she loves to play with the leapster when she is in the car seat for example.
