Guest guest
Hi- My son just turned 3-- and he also has trouble with colors.... everything is BOO (Blue). I bought a really cool activity type game for him that is helping. It is called " Busy Bugs " . There are several cards with little squares of colors on them.... he has to match a colored plastic bug to the matching color on a card. There are several cards included to use for this " matching " .... and they increase in difficulty. The first card has all red on it.... so he has to pick all red bugs to place on the squares... as the cards progress, they add more colors. There are also more advanced matching cards for sequencing.... 2 red, 2 blue, etc. Our EI Developmental Therapist used this set with my Son. My Tyler liked it so much that I bought a set for him... Here is a link to a review I just found about this. _http://sharedreviews.com/gaming/educational-games/busy-bugs_ (http://sharedreviews.com/gaming/educational-games/busy-bugs) You can always Google " Busy Bugs AND 2109 " for further reviews. (The 2109 is the item #). Here is a link to where I bought it... _http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/esuite/control/product?PURCHASE_STATE=STAN DARD & product_id=2109_ (http://www.discoverytoyslink.com/esuite/control/product?PURCHASE_STATE=STANDARD\ & product_id=2109) If you decide to order.... make sure that you are ordering the " Discovery Toys Busy Bugs " SET # 2109. this has really helped my Son! He may not be able to say all of the colors-- but he is getting better and better at matching them. I repeat the colors for him as he does it... For example, I will say " This bug is red.... put red on red " ..... or " put blue on blue " . I give him a little reward each time he does it correctly.... the mini M and Ms work great.... they are so small.... it takes 4 of them to equal a regular sized M and M.... and he is super motivated for candy! Another reward that I at times use is stickers..... I also bought a bunch of really tiny stickers.... and I give him one to put on a piece of paper every time he matches a bug correctly.... The rewards keep his attention going! Hope this helps.... I really love it! take care-
