Guest guest
Listmates: I have been a member of the group for several years but do not post to the main group because I was burned as many of you were, so I just lurk there and enjoy reading the information they dispense. This group is very different so I have decided to " come out " . I record everything I eat into a notebook, and once a day I enter it into a program developed by one of our members (whom I will not name). She can identify herself if she chooses. I find it easier to use than the DWDDP. I then can see exactly how I am doing although I am pretty good at approximating the total calories myself. I will probably not continue to be this exact forever, but it works for me now. I am probably one of the older ones on the list. I just turned 59 but have been told that I look to be in my forties. Of course, it depends upon what kind of day I am having! I have full blown osteoporosis but cannot blame it on CR. I am a small boned Caucasian who ate little dairy, did no weight training, etc. and most importantly had a mother who had osteoporosis. I, like Francesca, fell the other day while walking, and hurt nothing but my pride. Here is a question for Ian. I have a Vitamix, which sounds like his machine. It does not remove the fiber from veggies, but when I try to make vegetable juices, they are thick and unappetizing. How does your machine work? I am going to try the ricotta mousse as well as buy some of the guar gum that Warren is going to get so that I can try his pudding. In case any of you are not already familiar with these sources, I will mention some great almost calorie free flavorings that you can use for the pudding or almost anything. Davinci makes delicious sugarfree syrups using with Splenda. They have incredible flavors that really taste great. They are very sweet but the flavors are very strong so you do not need much. I use them in yogurt, kefir, etc. Check them out at www.davincigourmet.com. Also, www.lorannoils.com/products.asp have oils that are unsweetened and have very intense flavoring that you could use with your own sucralose. They are so strong that I use a dropper as a measure. Thank you for all of your ideas. __________________________________________________
