I have 6 kids and only one had a pacifier---number 2. I told him that when he

turned 3 he would be a big boy and no longer need/use a pacifier. He woke up on

his 3rd birthday and was reminded that he was a big boy and no longer needed his

binky. He never complained. He is now 17 and said he did miss it a little for

a couple days, yet he really loved being a big boy! It was very important to

him to be a big boy and no longer a baby--so it was incentive. I was amazed

this worked!!!

ps--the binky boy is the only one of my kids w/a slight overbite!
