Guest guest
I'm so glad Francesca that you weren't injured beyond scrapes and bruises. That is such good and hopeful news considering the " bone issue. " I am just checking in. I am once again using Walford's software to track food. I am still on a restrictive diet although I can now eat strawberries! I've been going nuts buying and eating them - a pound at a time! I love it. I'm so happy when I can eat another food that I jump for joy! I can now eat millet which helps tremendously also. I expect the list to slowly expand as I remain on this diet for at least eight months or so (see my first post: " the on-going miracle " for more info). I am not up to eating 1800 calories yet though. I'm hovering around 1000-1200 per day. I know this can be a concern. Interestingly, my body must be getting just what it needs. I am having little hunger if any, I feel great, with more energy and calmer emotions. I walked two miles today which makes me very happy! I continue to feel reductions in pain - which I'm ecstatic about! peace, trustinit __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hi, kam! I joke with lots of people that I have Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder - I get cranky when the suns out. Give me some rain and cold and my mood is up, my energy is up. I love cloudy days. I should move to the NW, I know, I know. We are still over 100 in Phoenix. But only one more year here, then ? That's a long story. I'll fill you in later. So, here's to Nov-Feb!! Deb M. > Perhaps we can have a pity party theme for the chat tomorrow night! Guest guest
Deb ~ Good golly! You should move to the NW! RSAD (Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder) sounds serious...I wouldn't mind the rain if it didn't make me ache so. And, if it stays rainy for several days, I seem to do OK. But we've had bright blue skies each afternoon. The change is what gets me. Funny you've ended up in Phoenix. Either there is no shortage of irony in the world or you've just idealized the grass on the other side of that picket fence. Either way, I hope you end up exactly where you want to be! kam > Hi, kam! > > I joke with lots of people that I have Reverse Seasonal Affective > Disorder - I get cranky when the suns out. Guest guest
Hi, Kam! Reverse SAD is kind of a joke, since I know SAD exists, but I've never heard of RSAD. :-) The experience is similar to what Seasonal Affective Disorder does - depression, lack of energy, etc. So, who knows? Phoenix is a cruel joke (I am very fair-skinned and go to lobster red in 5 minutes of sun anywhere in the world. very sad). But we moved here for my husband to go to school. One year down, one to go! Then to cooler climes! He doesn't like the heat either, being very warm-blooded. He wears shorts and sandals to snowboard! Sometimes rain and cold can make me ache, but because I have more mental and physical energy, I can cope better. Whereas in the summer I just can't cope as well. Too much sun! I'll try to see everyone on chat tonight! I'll be there after 7 PST (water class).
