Tania, in general these are highly volatile oils--they oxidize in contact with

air, heat, light etc. The capsules are best because the contents stays fresher

longer---each is in its own individual capsule. My daughter just chews them up

and spits the capsule shell out. But she's been taking them since birth really

so she's used to them and they are her treat--Yes I know we have it good--but

it's all in what you get them used to from start--plus she was always a good

eater--I can't complain about that--it took work for some things---but she's not

too fussy.. I don't know if she is just used to the flavor and likes them for

that reason--or maybe her body actually tells her they are good for her---could

be both---she has a severe fatty acid malabsorption--even with supplementation

she was deficient --until we added more E and carnitine.

Anyway, so the capsules are fresher longer--no contact with air/light as the

liquid you pour out each time. And you snip the capsule at one end and squeeze

it into a little bit of yogurt, honey--pudding--what ever floats their boat :)

Also be sure you give them with a fatty meal and extra antioxidants--they tends

to start oxidizing even on the way down in the digestive tract and also in the

blood--body heat etc---so you want antioxidants with it and also more fat--some

nice organic butter on some toast etc---something fatty to help stabilize them

and absorb them better.

Also do not mix in big glass /container as they are oily and will tends to stay

on the walls of the glass---and they're too precious to waste--you want to be

sure your child gets most of it so mix in a small jar.in a spoon, just be sure

there'snot much left on the walls after you give him the mixture--that's why a

large spoon is best so he can just lick it.

All the best,

Elena

Hi there,

I know that the Pro EFA comes in a liquid, as I use this for my 2yr old. I do

think I remember reading somewhere that the liquid doesn't keep as well as the

capsules though.

I think I saw the Pro EPA in a liquid form, when I ordered the EFA, but I'm not

absolutely certain of this.

It definitely makes it easier getting the correct dosage into kids, just stick

in the medicine syringe and away you go.

It tastes quite yuk though. I started off the first week mixing it with a little

lemonade, and wrapping a little present for my boy which he would get after

taking his fish oil. After a week, he was happy to take it with no lemonade or

bribe.

cognition however we are having some concerns with the fish oils we are giving

our 3 1/2 year old who can not swallow capsules. We don't think he is getting

the maximum amount of fish oils from just squeezing the oils out of the capsules

each day. Can anyone tell me if the Pro EPA and Pro EFA come in a liquid form

which would be so much easier for us to administer and would assure us that the

correct dosage of oils are being given each day.
