IAN: I think homemade vegetable juice is the key and I use

the type of juicer that is a blender, the " Total Nutrition

Center " -- hate to sound like an ad, but it's probably the

best, although it costs a small fortune. Blender juicers

leave the fiber in the juice, which helps fill you up and

may (??) also reduce the blood-sugar spike some people say

they get with vegetable juice. But I think homemade (ie, not

processed) vegetable juice is the most nutrition-packed food

source, so much so that it ensures optimal nutrition and thus

that you will not get so hungry you can't do CR. I cite some

reasons why in my report: http://IanGoddard.net/me-cr.htm

I feel that I'm locked into CR. I have zero craving to go

outside CR. When I was 13 years old, after coming up close

to some cows during a trip to the country, I perceived their

innate sentients and decided to go vegetarian. 24 years since

then I never craved meat. I seem to have a mind-set where when

I set my mind to a dietary plan, I just get locked in. I felt

it " click " when I decided to do CR. It seems to have instilled

an aversion to the thought of eating a high-caloric diet, ugh!

I have no doubt that I will never break out of a CR protocol.

What helped was reading tons of CR abstracts and studies.

Doing that engrained a view in my mind that calories = death.

Therefore, since I want life, I don't want calories. I think

the view that " calories = fat " is not enough to instill the

kind of mind-set necessary to induce real and lasting change.
