My daughter, Abigail, who is 8 has been on NV for 4 days now. I am not

expecting any surges, yet. For 3 days we did 2 scoops a day and now we are

scaling back, 1/2 scoop twice a day. (we are now making frozen treats). Our

daughter is completely non-verbal and I would say low functioning. She is

autistic. Has there been experiences in the group with this situation in a

child that started NV? I am curious what subtle signs we would start seeing

first. Thank you. Celeste

Yes Celeste I know a number of children that fit the same profile as your

daughter who have had amazing results on NV- and yes you should see results

already by 4 days. But...

NV is dosage dependent -you started your daughter who is 8 on 2 scoops a day and

then went to 1 scoop a day? By 9 years old (so perhaps just a few months from

now for your 8 year old daughter?) the dosage most of us need for NV to work

therapeutically we have found is four scoops a day (2 scoops twice a day)...you

care currently using a dosage for a child that is 2 to 3 years old. For an 8

year old as I have below " Some doctors have brought 3 year old children up to 2

scoops, children between 4 and 8 up to 3 scoops "

Here's info from the Pursuit of Research website

What is the correct therapeutic dosage for NutriiVeda?

NutriiVeda is 100% water soluble, however we can only provide you with the

dosages that have been used with success and approved by doctors so far. We

advice that you also check with your child's doctor as well as FDA's website for

further information regarding the daily nutritional requirements for children.

Birth to three - one scoop a day (can be split into half scoop twice a day)

Four to Eight -two scoops a day (can be split into 1 scoop twice a day)

Nine and up to adult -can take four to six scoops a day -recommended to split

2-3 scoops per serving.

Most start at a level scoop and go to a " heaping " scoop. Some doctors have

brought 3 year old children up to 2 scoops, children between 4 and 8 up to 3

scoops, and 9 and above between 4 to 6 scoops with knowledge that NV is water

soluble. Increased dosages are being attributed to increase in surges. Please

again consult with your child's doctor.

About the last line -I highly recommend if you are nervous about giving your

child NV that you seek out a knowledgeable about nutrition as well medical

doctor, again they are not only approving NV -but we have a number of cases now

where they are recommending higher dosages than what most of us use. I wrote a

blog on how as a society we tend to over analyze something like fish oils or

NV...but if it comes from a supermarket or fast food restaurant the average

person doesn't even peek at what's in that junk food

Besides we now know that healthy foods raise the IQ and processed foods lower

the IQ http://pursuitofresearch.org/2011/02/09/you-are-as-smart-as-what-you-eat/

Again NV is dosage dependent; while there are exceptions which is rare where

even at a half dosage there are surges that is no way the norm. Most of us see

regression if we cut the dosage in half. If you don't use enough you may not

see results. I don't know if that would be 'ever'. I honestly don't anyone

that stayed at a low dosage for a long time to know if eventually you would see

surges -most just raise the dosage and see the surges. Here again are the areas

of surge: http://pursuitofresearch.org/pursuit-of-research/

Again NV is working pretty much across the board. A sugar pill will work for

most 40% of the time for psychosomatic reasons -and the more expensive the

psychosomatic medicine the better it's claimed the work...We read about stuff

like this all the time. But with NV we have a number of kids and mainly teens

that were medication resistant and still had seizures on even multiple

medications (and one scheduled to have part of his front temporal lobe removed

prior to NV) now off all medications and seizure free for over a year due

directly to NV...and we have numerous professional anecdotal reports from

professionals- many who were not even aware the individual was on NV -and many

of our children are not aware they are on NV as the parents hide it. There is

no doubt to me that NV has created a paradigm shift.

thank you for the info. I am just wanting to start slowly, is this a being over

safe? I was thinking of moving up to 1 1/2 scoops next week. Celeste
