Stuttering and Apraxia

Just wanted to know if anyone's child/children with apraxia also is stuttering.

I was a stutter as a child, and wished that my children wouldn't get that gene,

but as it seems, all 3 of my boys are stutters.

I know that with apraxia, they sometimes hold one to words longer, until they

can process what they want to say. My sons SLP wants to hold off the oral motor

therapy and focus on the stuttering. I am so frustrated, as we just got the

techniques down for oral motor down, and the new focus is hard.

I guess what I am looking for is advice, and comfort :o( I feel so down, and

wished they didn't have to struggle.....

Thanks,
