Dawn Falley's Update on 14 & 3/4 yo

Hi,

It will be 1 year on Feb. 18th that my son has been on NV. He has made

incredible gains in speech and mostly cognitive function. He also has been taken

off his seizure medication after being on it for 9 yrs. and had a normal EEG, so

he has been medication free for 5 months!!

Any new speech that he has gained, he has retained , not like in the past when

he would say something and we would never hear it again. I really noticed a

maturity in his actions, for instance, if we are watching a tv show & something

funny happens he will laugh & turn to me as if to say " did you get that " or

" that was funny " .

another parent had mentioned that its like she was getting to know her daughter

& that is definitely what it feels like.

I can't wait to see what the next year has in store for my son on this journey

of what I am now calling a kind of recovery for him.
