Probiotics & Digestive Enzymes???

I have read some of the parents adding probiotics & /or digestive enzymes on top

of the NV & fish oils.

My 4 1/2 yr old son has been on fish oils (Nordic Naturals Pro EFA & Pro EPA)

for over 6 months & he started NV 3 months ago. I see more coordination

improvemnts than I do speech so I am continuing to use NV. He still has

constipation issues - I have varied the dose of the NV & increased his fluids -

nothing helps. Do you think the probiotics & /or the digestive enzymes would

help? If so, what kind, what dose???

Subject: Re: Probiotics & Digestive Enzymes???

Hi,

I'm one of the parents who adds probiotics and digestive enzymes.  It just seems

to work better for us.

I would talk to your doctor first to see if you can do this for your 4.5 year

old.

Why don't you try the yogurt with the added probiotics first and see what

results you get.  They seem to be adding things like omegas, DHA,

probiotics....you get the drift!

I find that it's not so much speech that's helped my adding these, it seems to

be more sensory stuff, but yes, more complex speech seems to happen.  Keep in

mind that my son is now 11years old and the fish oils were the best in kick

starting his words and even now if we miss doses his speech is affected, but

comes right back when we get back to routine.

He only said his first word at 4.5 years old and that's only because of the

omegas. (nutriiveda wasn't around then!)

Hope this helps and I hope this email gets thru as non of my other ones done on

this silly iPad have!

Sandy
