See http://www.pursuitofresearch.org go to serving suggestions

I would change how you offer it. Does he like chocolate? Add some Nestle's

syrup. Try no bake cookies. Try Vanilla NV in apple juice, etc.

Warmest wishes,

Barbara

Subject: [ ] Refusing to Take Nutriveda

Hi All,

My son was taking nutriveda and was up to 4 scoops a day and was doing very

well. He got sick with a cold for a week and ever since then he refuses to

take his nutriveda applesauce. He used to be excited to take it then one day

he stopped. That was two months ago and I definately see the regression.

This really upsets me. is 10 and has gotten impossible. I just put

it in tapioca today and am hopeing he will start taking it again. Any

ideas???? Did this happen to anybody else.

Thanks,

Sue

Hi all;

The tapioca did not work either. I am going to try other serving

suggestions. My son said to put it in his juice. I'll see if he really takes

it with juice. I just want him to take it and enjoy it at the same time.

Thanks,

Sue

Oh sorry Sue!

I put the links for you on another email! For serving suggestion- you can mix

the juice with ice too. There's something many of us have had called an Orange

Julius which is basically orange juice, powdered milk and sugar. Mixing the

vanilla NV into the orange juice with ice and some agave to start (a natural

sweetener) may help. But if you have to use sugar just to get it in it's worth

it and you can gradually reduce whatever sweet you add to it as they get used to

the flavor. If it's an older child and you want him or her to speak with my 14

year old Tanner -email me at lisa@... Tanner's talked to quite a few

older kids about why to drink NV every day.

His top 3 reasons

1. It's really helped with my speech

2. It's really helped with my schoolwork

3. I can jump over a bush now.

I laugh every time I hear him say this!! Trust me the number 3 for him wouldn't

even be in the top 100 for me! I don't even want him jumping over bushes!

Anyway here's the links for you

MY son has done the exact same thing. It seems like once I find something

he likes it with he figures me out and stops and it's not like you can

reason with a 2 year old who can't talk. I am frustrated becasue I see it

helps him a lot.

When my son gets sick he often refuses his NV. Afterwards it can be

like starting from square 1. We have to retreat to small amounts and

build back up to the full dose rather slowly. This also means we get

to relive the moodiness & sensitivity that we got the first time too.

The good news has been that every time we go through this the amount

of time it takes to return to the full dose decreases.

Hope that helps,

Noelle

Hi all,

You have been a godsend to me. is now taking his NV with Juice and

water. We are only on 1 scoop/day again, but he is willing to take it. I told

him what 's son said about why he takes it and is taking it now too.

Thanks for all the ideas and support. AS soon as he started taking it again,

his behavior is a lot more cooperative.

Thanks,

Sue
