1 cup nonfat(skim)milk

half a cup plain nonfat yogurt

1 orange peeled and seeded

half a banana

4 dried apricotsplumped in water overnight and drained

1 tablespoon wheat germ

1 scant tsp brewer's yeast

place all in blender and whip for several minutes.

Thanks Lucy! I'll use this recipe with an additional half a cup of blue- or

blackberries, as well as 10 grams of fiber extracted from potatoes. My hope

is that the extra fibers will bring down the glycemic index, though I'm not

sure if it will.

I've previously been using soy milk. I'm thinking about ending this practice,

either by not using soy at all or by using some amount of soy protein powder.

Is this a good thing to eat daily or should I try to get something else for

breakfast every now and then for diversity? What's the approximate energy

content in this shake?
