TYPO in Dealing With difficult Insuracne Companies Topic

Hi all- just wanted to send a seperate post to all to let you know that I had a

Typo on a VERY impoortant issue!

I somehow managed to type 384.69 rathar than 784.69 when discussing the

appropriate code for apraxia. 784.69 is the correct code!

sorry for the mistake.... I am still trying to figure out how I managed to type

a 3 instead of a 7 !

I just thought of something else.... Look how easily I made a mistake......

(with a typo).... It is just as easy for an Office to make the same mistake....

This DID happen to us on one occasion.... the office typed in the wrong code.

This is why it is important to keep checking on what codes are being used.....

Even if a provider has the " right code " there is no guarantee that their office

personnel will type it in correctly! I can recall being so angry at one of my

child's facilities for typing in the wrong code.... and here I did the same

thing... on our Board of all places! I now understand that we are all subject

to human error!
