Guest guest
Thanks so much, yes makes sense. I am as of now NOT sure I am one of those moms who wants to advocate for something the district will not and possibly not give. Still on the fence here... In most circumstances the existing IEP will be adopted, however, I've been told that sometimes the new district does not adopt the IEP w/o amending it first. I really think it depends on the district and whether or not the orignal goals/objectives are able to be carried out in the new district - does that make sense? help? That being said, if you are the parent who has spent $$ to have advocates, therapists sit in on original IEP, it makes sense to me that you will also be outspoken enough to make your child's needs known and what you as parents expect from the new district! Advocate for your child! Good luck > >
