Ivy,

In my experience, the new district will have an IEP team mtg to evaluate the

existing IEP. In most circumstances the existing IEP will be adopted, however,

I've been told that sometimes the new district does not adopt the IEP w/o

amending it first. I really think it depends on the district and whether or not

the orignal goals/objectives are able to be carried out in the new district -

does that make sense? help? That being said, if you are the parent who has

spent $$ to have advocates, therapists sit in on original IEP, it makes sense to

me that you will also be outspoken enough to make your child's needs known and

what you as parents expect from the new district! Advocate for your child! Good

luck
