Guest guest
Our 8 yr. old, non-verbal, autistic daughter is up to 3 scoops of NV now. She has been on this therapeutic dose for a week. We slowly built up to this over a month time. I wanted to make sure her body was ready for it. She is showing some patience in trying sounds in words, with more ease. And she is see that a sound is need to request more now, then just using her PEC book. We have also started with a new Speech Therapist that uses PROMPT which is clicking well for Abigail. My questions is how to keep up the fluids and interest in eating NV. She has never been a big drinker. I am now introducing diluted juices in water bottle, which is loosing it's specialness. How do people push the fluids and how do you prepare NV. Right now we are blending NV with some almond milk (puddingish), freezing it, then thaw slightly..break up in chunks. Is there a archive for ideas in this subject? thank you, Celeste
