Guest guest
Hi , we've done it for a while now. The biggest result we found very quickly was that all of a sudden my son was sleeping MUCH better. The cranial, combined with every the other therapies combined seemed to help. It wasn't a huge wow, but i think everything done together seemed to help more  than just doing speech therapy alone. ________________________________ From: michelle yates <michelle_yates@...> Sent: Fri, April 23, 2010 10:52:17 AM Subject: [ ] Cranio sacral therapy question  Has anyone here tried cranio sacral therapy? Guest guest
Yes we did it when our son was 5 for 8 sessions. At the end of the 8th he had his first non-febrile seizure and has epilepsy since. I do not put the blame on the cranio-sacral therapy, but do bring this up when asked about it because that's what happened! We saw no other result from the therapy. Like so many things we have tried, from what we read we thought it was worth trying. (ny 12, non-verbal) > > > Has anyone here tried cranio sacral therapy? What were your results? Guest guest
Hi , Here's an archive mixed with updates on CranioSacral Therapy: Hi Deborah! Do give it a shot -it's another great alternative multisensory approach to try! Tanner and Dakota's cranial sacrel therapist Loran was from Verona, NJ and he was awesome. My boys loved it so I can tell you for sure it doesn't hurt to have it done. In fact both of my boys would fall asleep during it -even my ADHD son Dakota! I found Tanner's speech to be quicker and smoother right after and it lasted for a day or so for some reason. In general I noticed more positive changes with Tanner than Dakota -but they both loved it. Was is as dramatic as fish oils or nutriiveda- no. Not even sure between therapeutic listening and CranioSacral Therapy/ CST. Each session was around 100 dollars I believe- it wasn't cheap either -but I'm all for taking any chance I can get to help my kids if possible. You can find a therapist through the Upledger Institute in Palm Beach, Florida http://www.upledger.com/home.htm You can search for a practitioner here at Dr. Upledger's site http://www.iahp.com/pages/search/index.php There are archived messages on this from me and others here and at BigTent -from recall all positive. =====
