Ed: you have given us a wonderful opportunity. You are the only Okinawan (eg person living there) on the list and the only one I (and probably most others on the list) have ever " met " . Is it true as the literature suggests that not much fruit is eaten there? Is it true that not much dairy and eggs are eaten? Is it true that lots of soy is eaten, (because on the basis of one study, a link of soy to dementia was found - and now some CRONIES are a bit nervous about soy) ? and if the answer to the above question is yes, are there many cases of dementia among the aged? Here in the U.S. it almost seems like an epidemic of Alzheimers and dementia, but of course, people are living longer which could account for the increased number of cases.
