Hi Marie- on the ingredient list they put all the foods on the label in the

Proprietary Ayurvedic Blend (Guggul, Amalaki, Green Tea, Haritaki, Turmeric,

Gymnerma, Cayenne Pepper)

The above is for the chocolate -vanilla is the same except instead of cayenne

pepper there is cinnamon instead. There isn't a huge amount of any of these

foods -but they are in there.

This page tells you a bit more about each of these fruits, roots, leaves

http://pursuitofresearch.org/products/nutriiveda/nutriiveda-ingredients/

Many of us in the west never heard of some of these ingredients but we have

members here from India who have written here that each of these ingredients are

every day foods used by all. That " any good kitchen in India " will have all of

these ingredients. In addition each ingredient has no known side effect, drug

interaction, overdose level. As the product is water soluble and because all

nutrients including essential nutrients are from food grade sources it's the

purest way to consume nutrients (from food) and because it's in an isolate base

it's easily digestible. Clearly we know in even just this group alone it's not

just what you eat -but what you digest that matters. There has been a rise in

metabolic disorders and NV was developed to support and strengthen the metabolic

system.

Many probably know about this study

http://pursuitofresearch.org/2010/11/11/added-proteinamino-acids-and-or-enzymes-\

help-those-with-autism/ which the purpose was to make the essential amino acids

easier to digest. Perhaps NV already does that -and with the added botanicals

together which have hundreds of clinical studies behind them to validate their

benefits to the body -it's a home run. Somehow it's the blend that is working.

I'm sure one day soon we'll know more (wink) :)

And if one is wanting to make sure NV contains all the essential amino acids

that is listed too on the ingredient list (Amino Acids: Alanine, Arginine,

Aspartic Acid, Cystin, Glutamic Acid, Glycine, Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine,

Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine,

Proline, Serine, Thereonine, Trytophan, Tyrosine, Valine),

There is information for doctors here

http://pursuitofresearch.org/find-a-professional/

Let me know if there are any other questions!
