Guest guest
Hi Everyone My son is in Kindergarten and currently attends Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf - he is a hearing child with no hearing loss at all - he is enrolled in their Total Communication Class. This worked wonderful for him because he used sign language to communicate prior to oral speech. After one year he seems to already have outgrown the program (great news - he started with very little speech and is now quite the chatter box!!) but now we are looking for a new placement as well. Does anyone have any experience with the School for Language and Communication Development in Glen Cove. We went to see the program and it looks like it may fit , but I was wondering if anyone had any personal feedback. Any information would really be appreciated, like application process, reports needed, admissions, fight with BOE etc.... Hope all is going well with everyone and again I really love being able to reach out to our wonderful group!! Thanks in advance for any feedback Kathleen McEnroe son 5 years old
