Garfield Park Academy in conjunction with The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health (CNNH) presents a free workshop for educators and parents Identifying and Educating Students with Brain Injury March 29th, 2011, 6-8 PM Garfield Park Academy, Willingboro, NJ Featuring: Neimann, Ph.D., Director of Clinical Development, CNNH and Dale Starcher, Ph.D., Clinical Director, Garfield Park Academy In this two-hour program, experts in the field of brain injury will discuss intellectual, cognitive, sensory, communication and psychosocial difficulties associated with brain injury in school aged children and youth. Participants will learn about comprehensive assessment, and evidence-based special educational services, supports and accommodations that students who have experience brain injury often require as they re-enter school. We will also discuss the Compass school reentry program at Garfield Park Academy for students who are not yet ready to return to a regular classroom environment.
