Guest guest
Hi Tara,  I live near San , Texas. I have found someone trained through the SRJ program. She primilary teaches training and consultations therefore, she isn't set up to bill insurance. The cost is so high that I was hoping to get feedback from parents who've been through these types of programs to know if it is right for us. Thanks for your reply, Janelle From: Tara Turken <taraturken@...> Subject: Re: [ ] questions about those in the Sara Rosenfeld program Date: Monday, April 4, 2011, 11:05 PM  where do you live? sara no longer does therapy, but has clinics everywhere that do. she lectures and has trained several SLPs. check the ASHA website and see if you can find one that way. ________________________________ From: Janelle Hickey <janellehickey@...> Sent: Sun, April 3, 2011 8:07:59 AM Subject: [ ] questions about those in the Sara Rosenfeld program  Hello Everyone,  I have seen some mention of people doing home programs through Sara Rosenfeld . I have yet to find a local SLP that I can receive oral/motor approach during therapy. I do have access to an SLP trained through the Sara Rosenfeld that I can do an evaluation and similar home program or infrequent sessions. The cost is high due to lack of insurance reimbursement so I wanted to get opinions from those who've gone this route. I understand that this is to supplement typical ST.  I should also mention that my daughter has not needed feeding therapy. She has more recently started gagging sometimes and I've been told its due to enlarged tonsils. Thanks for your help, Janelle
Guest guest
We actually see Sara Rosenfeld every 4-6 months to go over my son's program. My son who is 8 has autism and apraxia has been going to speech therapy since he was 2 years old. We started seeing Sara about 1.5-2 years ago and doing her program along with a speech therapist who is focussing on oral motor strength and he has had the most gains with this. She is expensive and our insurance doesn't cover it, but it's well worth it! From: janellehickey@...
