Our 11yo is on Trileptal for seizures (primary) and behaviors (secondary). The

absorption levels can be measured through labs, so you are going to want to get

that done. Also, I believe the typical dosing for behavioral issues is ~1200.

When we first started Trileptal our daughter also broke out in a full-body rash.

The first concern is to rule out a dangerous reaction such as s-

syndrome. Take your son to the doctor (preferably a neuro) and express your

concerns. In our case the rash cleared eventually. I think the dose may have

been lowered then increased again.
