I'm so happy to hear you discussed with ny's neuro-pediatrician.

I'm curious what your son's doctor felt about the reports from so many here of

reduction or mainly elimination of seizures once on nutriiveda- and Mel's story

which shows the potential which is Mel's doctor's belief that nutriiveda is what

healed her brain based on scans. She's been seizure free for the entire 3

months on nutriiveda and while in the past she had been hospitalized and almost

died twice of seizures -her doctor now believes that she will be off all seizure

meds by later this year. Mel's mother Robin also wants parents here who have

seizure prone children like yours to know that while you may be thrilled that

your child is no longer having seizures it's vital to have blood testing for

levels as in Mel's case the dosage of Depakote she had been on for years became

toxic in her body as she no longer needed the mega dosages and due to that her

body developed myopathies. Just curious if you shared these particular blog

updates

http://littlemermaidmelanie.wordpress.com/category/ayurveda-journal/

Or this offer and information from Dr. Tom and Dr. Suhas

From Dr. Tom:

Thanks for the inspiring testimonial. The results, although dramatic, are not

surprising. The amino acid profile of NutriiVeda would undoubtedly assist and

support the healing of any neurotransmitter deficiency, whether seizures,

depression, anxiety disorder, insomnia. Parkinson's disease, due to its unique

nature, would be less likely to show significant; however, we did have an

unexpected and dramatic improvement in an individual with Parkinson's using

Zrii.

To answer the question/concern regarding serotonin level monitoring during the

consumption of NutriiVeda: it is not necessary. However, if an individual does

have any of the neurotransmitter deficiency disorders listed above and DOES wish

to monitor their neurotransmitter levels, I would be most supportive of this

documentation. The most extensive neurotransmitter testing available is done at

home, rather than at a lab, on a morning urine, and is covered by most

insurances including Medicare and HMO's.

Many physicians, including Neurologists and Psychiatrists, are unaware of this

home-based test, its insurance coverage, or how to interpret the results. Any

IE or consumer wishing to obtain such neurotransmitter testing may contact

Geng who will contact me directly. Email at lisa@... as she will

pass on to me and I will have the lab test kit drop shipped to them. I will

serve as the ordering physician and ensure their primary care physician receive

a carbon copy of results.

Regards,

Dr. Tom

From Dr. Suhas:

Aloha,

NutriiVeda is an ideal herbal food supplement. It takes care of some vital

nutrients absolutely needed for the optimum functioning of neuro-physiology but

also the herbs like Amalaki-Turmeric-Guggul- Gymnema work on opening the micro

circulatory channels.

They also regulate the various endocrine pathways. It is very likely that there

is better oxygenation to the brain and harmonious functioning of the Rt and Lt

hemispheres because of reduced inflammation.

Serotonin- It does not increase or decrease anything but it regulates these

subtle molecules by improved Lymphatic Return in the circulation. According to

Ayurveda Serotonin and Melatonin are Sun/Moon, Male/Female, Silence/Dynamism,

Yin/Yang like principles, which are effectively regulated by these intelligent

herbs.

Great testimonial, we do expect many more in many diverse areas.

It's been around a month that ny is on nutriiveda now. Please read over

the survey here (there is a PDF you can view and print out from this page)

http://pursuitofresearch.org/survey.html Have you noticed any improvements in

any area?

I know that Sotos Syndrome is rare and appears to come with a number of

symptoms- so please let us know out of the following description which best fit

ny. I'll see when I get back if there is any research in the areas he has

symptoms linked to the nutrients in nutriiveda for you:

What is Sotos syndrome?

Sotos syndrome is a disorder characterized by a distinctive facial appearance,

overgrowth in childhood, and learning disabilities or delayed development.

Characteristic facial features include a long, narrow face; a high forehead;

flushed (reddened) cheeks; and a small, pointed chin. In addition, the outside

corners of the eyes may point downward (down-slanting palpebral fissures). This

facial appearance is most notable in early childhood. Affected infants and

children tend to grow quickly; they are significantly taller than their siblings

and peers and have an unusually large head. Adult height is usually in the

normal range, however.

People with Sotos syndrome often have intellectual impairment, and most also

have behavioral problems. Frequent behavioral issues include attention deficit

hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), phobias, obsessions and compulsions, tantrums,

and impulsive behaviors. Problems with speech and language are also common.

Affected individuals often have problems with sound production, stuttering, and

a monotone voice. Additionally, weak muscle tone (hypotonia) may delay other

aspects of early development, particularly motor skills such as sitting and

crawling.

Other signs and symptoms of Sotos syndrome can include an abnormal side-to-side

curvature of the spine (scoliosis), seizures, heart or kidney defects, hearing

loss, and problems with vision. Some infants with this disorder experience

yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes (jaundice) and poor feeding. A few

people with Sotos syndrome have developed cancer, most often in childhood, but

no single form of cancer has been associated with this condition. It remains

uncertain whether Sotos syndrome increases the risk of specific types of cancer.

If people with this disorder have any increased cancer risk, their risk is only

slightly greater than that of the general population.

How common is Sotos syndrome?

Sotos syndrome is reported to occur in 1 in 10,000 to 14,000 newborns. Many

cases of this disorder are not diagnosed, however, so the true incidence may be

closer to 1 in 5,000.

I printed out what you have added below and had the doctor read it. Also another

explanation written by Tim Stearns and a page with the ingredients. He did read

it all. But he didn't make a comment. He wrote a book on Childhood Epilepsy so I

wonder if " his mind is made up. " Hard to say. What will impress him is to hear

of changes that we see take place in our son. So far he's been through quite a

bit with me over the years! He's been skeptical at my new discoveries and so far

I haven't proven him wrong. ha! That doesn't mean he has been against my trying

things.

Thanks for your encouragement.
