Guest guest
There is a Coromega pudding like emulsion but as far as I know there isn’t a powder. You can see all of their products on their website at www.coromega.com. My sons both take the original orange Coromega squeeze (not the child’s version). Some have higher EPA, some have higher DHA, some are pure Omega 3 and some have a blend of Omega 3 and 6. When it comes to fish oils all that matter are formula, dosage, and quality of the oils -and not necessarily in that order. The right formula will work at a low dosage but the wrong formula will work a bit at a higher dosage at times. In fish oils you pretty much get what you pay for. Take the huge bottle you get at Walmart for example -perhaps it's a high quality oil but perhaps it is not. Would you want to give your child fish oils that may be rancid? Research has shown that most fish oils sold have a problem with high peroxide levels -may not sound bad but that translates to rancidity. Check for a brand that does testing on " heavy metals and impurities " and also look for a brand that tests for peroxide levels -ProEFA for example is from Nordic and they do. Coromega is a powder and it's high quality but pure Omega 3 -but good formula in that the EPA is higher than DHA. But back to if you use capsules and how to serve. You pierce the capsules- that's how most of us serve them to kids -so the Jr type brands are all marketing. A handful of kids chew and spit out the capsule and for older kids the Jr sized capsules are great to teach how to swallow capsules. The brands most of us use here are not the cheapest ones -but if you get a brand that works better the good news is that it cuts down on the amount of months or years of therapy -it has been shown over the years to accelerate progress. Again here is a page on the fish oils which may answer more http://pursuitofresearch.com/2010/12/01/therapeutic-use-of-fish-oil-for-apraxia-\ autism-and-other-communication-impairments/ =====
