Guest guest
I started at the full dosage but know people that for the first week only did it once a day (like my neighbor who is a pro golfer and started it while on tour and didn't have time to do it more than once a day) and then upped it to full dosage as she was not expecting it to even work (she was shocked to say the least and told us that she thought she would be " starving " after a few hours of golf and digging for candy bars in her golf bag -but she was satified until lunch) while all lose weight -for sure if you want to lose you will be happier with results on full dosage. Laurie Rinker- my neighbor ended up losing around 25 pounds in her first month -and she only had 30 to lose. Looked amazing. While I was on the full dosage from day one only lost 3 pounds my first week and only around 9 total but went from a size 4 to a size 2 and it does get rid of the fat in those places that you store it which I used to think you could only do with lipo or something! I mean I've been working out and eating healthy and even drinking protein shakes for breakfast for years -well working out almost all my life!! You can follow as a rough guide your body weight X .6 for amount of liquid a day but keep in mind there is liquid in things other than water including dry foods like bread. Just kind of use that as a guide. Speaking of which the guide and survey are at the pursuit site and here's the FAQ page to answer basics http://www.pursuitofresearch.org/faq.html Can't wait to read your one week update for both you and your son!! =====
Guest guest
Hi, my experience - I gave Lace (daughter, 4, 50 lbs) two scoops with puffed rice cereal and almond milk the first morning - She downed it but promptly STOPPED eating for 5 days. Perhaps she had a stomach flu at the time. I next " weaned " her by putting 1/2 scoop NV on a bowl of the same cereal and almond milk plus 1/2 teaspoon cold-strained honey for a couple of days, then increased the bowls, then stopped the honey. She now loves it. So you may experience a week or two of getting used to it. And having more luck starting small. Guest guest
Hi , According to the NV instr for wt loss, start w/ 1 serving/day (=2 scoops) for 1-2 wks then increase to 2 servings/day (=4scoops). Make sure to drink plenty of fluids. Fluid should be body wt x .6 Remember that some floods have fluid in them (e.g. Applesauce, watermelon). IF u drink caffeine, that depletes your fluid intake so drink extra fluids (not soda). Warmest wishes, Barbara A , M.S., CCC-SLP Executive Director, Help Me Speak, LLC 410-442-9791 [ ] Just got my first NV canisters delivered! I'm really excited to start it (for both me and my son!). I have a couple questions: 1) For those adults using it for weight loss, did you just start out at a full dose, or did you start out with a smaller dose and build up? 2) How much extra water/fluids a day do you need to make sure to drink? Thanks!
Guest guest
Those of you that have kids who stop eating; how do they get nutrition? My son would dry up and blow away if he didn't eat for five days. Guest guest
Tim you're exaggerating the 5 days without food aren't you? Even an adult could die going 5 days without food: No food for five days, NREG card holder watches husband die It was a death that could have been avoided. A landless labourer, Kishen Singh (45), died on Christmas day after going without food for five days in this south Rajasthan village http://www.indianexpress.com/news/no-food-for-five-days-nreg-card-holder-watches\ -husband-die/565838/0 I use expressions too like " it weighs a ton " etc. Also I know you are too " on it " of a dad to actually let your child not eat at all for five days =====
Guest guest
I noticed when we started our son who is five on the NV that he wouldn't eat. You figure that this is a food suppliment so that makes sense. I stopped giving the NV until after he eats his meals. I put his in yogurt or ice cream or even a smoothy for a treat. I have also noticed that my son has put on weight since being on the NV. I am very happy about this since he looks really good right now. He is a yo yo person. One month he has weight and the next a small breeze could knock him over. Not to mention all the new things that we have noticed him doing since being on the NV. I love the stuff but wouldn't dare give it to him before a meal has been eaten. a > > > > > > > > > > > I'm really excited to start it (for both me and my son!). > > > > > > I have a couple questions: > > > > > > 1) For those adults using it for weight loss, did you just start out at a > > > full dose, or did you start out with a smaller dose and build up? > > > > > > 2) How much extra water/fluids a day do you need to make sure to drink? > > > > > > Thanks! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
