Guest guest
Hello everyone! Our Ipad is on order. I've been researching apps to replace our Pecs system. I found one called voice4u that seems to have all the features we need. Has anyone used this app? I haven't found too many reviews online. It has the option to make icons with your voice and own picture. Thanks! Janelle

Guest guest
Hi Janelle, I have the proloquo2go,it has thousands of words in it's program. I quickly looked at the voice4u and it looks pretty neat. Since your child is so young it would probably be best to get that one as the price is certainly right. I do wish this technology was around when my son was little, would have made things so much easier for him then. The ipad has been absolutely amazing for us. All these years in speech therapy, and he does his best speech work with the app " talking Tom cat " it's annoying as heck, as it repeats everything you say, but I noticed that my son is really focusing on how he pronounces things waaaaay more than he ever did with the slp! We also got robie the robot as he does the same repeating, but there is also a keyboard that you can type on and robie says the sentence. Finally, spelling homework made fun! And as an added bonus, these apps are free! The app store had recently added a category for special needs. The only thing is I could never find it! What I recently found out is that in the search thing you have to write it with a capital S and capital E. Dn't know why this makes a difference, but it does. I can't say enough about the iPad, absolutely love it. Sharing it is't so great though! Sandy > > Hello everyone! > Our Ipad is on order. I've been researching apps to replace our Pecs system.
